Bismaleimides containing benzimidazole moieties were synthesized and characterized by i.r. and ~H-NMR spectroscopy. The DTA thermograms of polymer precursors showed exotherms at 139-210 Β° attributed to the thermally induced crosslinking reactions. The curing temperatures were shifted to higher tempe

β¦ Synopsis
Three structurally different imido group containing diallyl monomers were synthesized. They were polymerized using initiators dicumyl peroxide and/or benzoyl peroxide in polar aprotic solvent. The pre-polymers were characterized by i.r., NMR, elemental analysis, TGA/DTA. viscometry and VPO techniques. Laminates were fabricated by impregnating carbon fibre with these resins and cured by a hot press mould at 180 190 in the presence of the named initiators. Laminates were evaluated by measuring flexural strength and interlaminar shear strength.

## SYNOPSIS N-Cyclohexylmaleimide (CHMI) was synthesized in high yield by dehydration and ring closure of N-cyclohexylmaleamic acid (CHMA) in an organic nonpolar solvent that is immiscible with water in the presence of a catalyst consisting of a mixture of acid and its amine salt. The optimal molar
A preparation procedure for colorless, transparent N-substituted maleimide of high quality which can provide heat-resistant transparent methacryl resins was developed. N-Alkylmaleimide, the alkyl substituent of which was composed of 2 to 4 carbons, is employed, giving a polymer with enhanced heat di
## Abstract The applications of dental restorative composite resins containing 2,2 __bis__ [4β(2βhydroxyβ3βmethacryloyloxy propoxy) phenyl] propane (BisβGMA), as a base resin, and triethylene glycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA), as a diluent, are often limited in dentistry due to the relatively large am
Two highly functionalized resins were synthesized by the phase transfer reaction of indene with propargyl bromide or allyl chloride in the presence of strong base. The resins consisted of a mixture of tri-and tetrafunctional indenes with 60-80% of the product being tetrafunctional. The allylated (AL
