โœฆ Synopsis

It is known in stability analysis that Lyapunov functions of the Lur'e-Postnikov form may have an advantage over quadratic Lyapunov functions. In this paper, a Lyapunov function of the Lur'e-Postnikov form is used for synthesis of a stabilizing controller for an uncertain system with structured norm-bounded uncertainty. An example is given which shows that a controller stabilizing the system with a Lur'e-Postnikov Lyapunov function may guarantee better performance, as compared to a controller synthesised using a standard quadratic Lyapunov function.

This paper considers the problem of constructing a controller which quadratically stabilizes an uncertain system and minimizes a guaranteed cost bound on a quadratic cost function. The solution is obtained via a parameter-dependent linear matrix inequality problem.

This paper presents a new approach to constructive output feedback robust nonlinear guaranteed cost controller design. The approach involves a class of controllers which include copies of the slope bounded nonlinearities occurring in the plant. Dynamic multipliers are introduced to exploit these rep
