The Cd composition ratio x of the active layer dependence of the lasing wavelength and the temperature dependence of the threshold current were investigated for Zn 1 xCdxSe single-quantum-well laser diodes. The lasing wavelengths varied from 477 nm (blue) for x = 0.15 to 520 nm (green) for x = 0.31

Calculations of the femtosecond gain dynamics in InGaAs/AlGaAs strained-layer single-quantum-well diode lasers are presented and compared to experiments which use a novel multiple-wavelength pump probe technique. We develop a detailed theoretical model for the gain dynamics in a quantum well laser d
## Abstract We propose a new and efficient method to optimize the output gain profile based on the characteristics of a WDM pumped Raman gain spectra and the fact that different wavelength pumps have different impacts on the gain tilt. As an application, we optimize a 10 wavelength pumped fiber Ram
