โฆ Synopsis
We investigate a switching adaptive control scheme based on falsi"cation which is conceptually di!erent from existing switching adaptive control schemes. A feature of the proposed localization method is its fast model falsi"cation capability. In the LTI case this is manifested as the rapid convergence of the switching controller. By analysing the geometry of localization we give a complete solution to the problem of optimal localization.

In this paper we describe a framework for deterministic adaptive control which involves logic-based switching among a family of candidate controllers. We compare it with more conventional adaptive control techniques that rely on continuous tuning, emphasizing how switching and logic can be used to o
This paper studies controllability properties of recurrent neural networks. The new contributions are: (1) an extension of a previous result to a slightly di erent model, (2) a formulation and proof of a necessary and su cient condition, and (3) an analysis of a low-dimensional case for which the hy
This paper is concerned to present a direct adaptive neural control scheme for switched nonlinear systems with unknown constant control gain. Multilayer neural networks (MNNs) are used as a tool for modeling nonlinear functions up to a small error tolerance. The adaptive updated laws have been deriv
The theory of implicit models, was defined by the authors in a previous work, and is extended in this brief paper to include the possibility that an external dither signal may affect the regulator action. The presence of this dither signal permits the existence of a broader class of implicit models.
