โฆ Synopsis
Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was used to identify CHrOCHO and CH,OCH,OOH as products of the gas-phase reaction of CH,0CH202 radicals with HO1 radicals. At 700 Torr and 2952 2 K, branching ratios of k,./k, =0.53 f 0.08 and klb/ k, =0.40* 0.04 were established. Quoted errors are 2 standard deviations together with our estimate of systematic uncertainties. (CH,OCHrOr+ H02+CH30CH200H+02 ( la), CH,0CHrOz+HO~~CH~OCHO+02+H20 ( lb).) This result is discussed with respect to previous literature data and to computer models ofatmospheric chemistry. As part of this work, the rate constants for the reaction ofCl atoms with CH,OCH#OH and CHsOCHO were determined to be (6.1 kO.3) x lo-" and (1.4*0.1)X IO-'* cm3 molecule-' s-', respectively.

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy has been used to identify and quantify FC(O)OOC (0)F and COP as products following the self-reaction of FC(O)Os radicals. Fmm the observed product yields, it was determined that the reaction proceeds pro dominately (80%+20%), if not exclusively, via FC(O)O,+FC
