โœฆ Synopsis

The natural frequencies of moderately thick transverse isotropic annular sector plates, as obtained by using Mindlin's theory, which includes the effect of shear deformation and rotatory inertia, are presented. The plate is clamped at all the edges. An integral equation technique has been used in the analysis. The typical results are compared with those of other investigators who have used different methods for the solution. Numerical results have been obtained for different cases by varying the transverse shear modulus, sector angle and radii ratio.

Based on the basic equations of three-dimensional theory of elasticity, this paper establishes the state-space equation of the axisymmetric vibration of laminated annular plates composed of transversely isotropic layers. A free vibration analysis of laminated annular sector plates is described. The edges of the plates are clamped. The in-plane and rotatory inertia are included in the analysis. The frequencies are obtained by using an integral equation technique. For numerical work a two layered SGE cross-ply plate i
