✦ Synopsis
In this study, a supersonic beam of NiF was produced by the reaction of SF 6 with a dc discharge-sputtering source of nickel atoms. The laser-induced fluorescence excitation spectrum of a 2 ⌸ 3/2 -2 ⌸ 3/2 transition has been recorded in the range of 500 -520 nm and rotational structure of 506.5-nm band analyzed under the 30 K rotational temperature. Our data are consistent with a 2 ⌸ 3/2 ground state for NiF. The lifetime of this band is measured.

Laser induced fluorescence of a fast ion beam has been applied to 13 CO / 2 for its (0, 0, 0) A ˜2P u -(0, 0, 0) X ˜2P g UV electronic transition. The high resolution (0.005 cm 01 ) of the FIBLAS method, due to a highly reduced Doppler broadening, allows us to evaluate the isotopic shift, to appreci
The near-infrared emission spectra of the X 2 2 ⌸ 3/2 3 X 1 2 ⌸ 1/2 fine structure transitions of PbF and PbCl have been investigated by high-resolution Fourier-transform spectrometry. Despite the large fine structure splitting, the bands can be equally well analyzed with Hund's case (a) or case (c)
