## Abstract Synthesis of C~19~ steroid monosulphates labelled with deuterium is reported. Deuterium was introduced either at hydroxylated carbons or in methylene groups, in order to permit use of the steroids in studies of intermolecular hydrogen transfer __in vivo__. Methylene groups were deuterat
