Vibrational overtone transitions of OCS in the near infrared, 10 000-14 000 cm 01 , are observed for the first time by means of the photoacoustic technique. The spectra are analyzed using molecular parameters and Hamiltonions derived for energy levels below 5000 cm 01 . It is demonstrated that the m

β¦ Synopsis
Near-infrared emission bands were observed near 6200 and 5700 cm 01 when water vapor (H 2 O, D 2 O) was added to the reaction of bismuth vapor (Bi x ) with microwave-discharged oxygen in a fast-flow system. With the help of ab initio calculations of Yang Khandogin et al. (to be published in J. Mol. Spectrosc.) the bands were identified to be fine structure transitions X Λ2AΠ r X Λ1A and X Λ3A r X Λ1A between the components of the strongly split 3 AΠ ground state of the as yet unknown bismuth hydroxide radical BiOH (BiOD).

Background and Objectives: Despite disparate treatment parameters, similar success in laser trabeculoplasty (LT) is attained using the argon (514.5 nm) and diode (810 nm) laser. However, the mechanism of this success remains unresolved. To further understand LT, this study characterizes the optical
