✦ Synopsis

Abstract

In our society saving time is important because time is money. For this reason the development of instrumentation able to perform analytical determinations with a high speed is an on‐going matter, particularly regarding routine control analyses. In the last few years the possibility of performing gas chromatographic analysis in a very short time has been increasing. In this paper a general overview of fast chromatography and our experience of its application to the analysis of milk fat triacylglycerols is reported.
