Lcigt man eine Spur 3-Oxy-2.5-dicarbomethoxy-thiophen in Alkohol und verdiinnt mit Waaser, so tritt eine gelbgriine Fluorescenz auf, die auch noch bei sehr starker Verdiinnung wahrnehmbar ist. Die Substenz lost sich sehr gut in Alkohol, weniger gut in Benzol oder Ather. Sie lost sich in verd. Natron
