We have investigated the expression of 2 neural-cell adhesion molecules, NCAM and LI, in K1735-CI16 and -MI melanoma cells which differ qualitatively in their metastatic potential, i.e., M l cells are metastatic whereas CI 16 cells are not. We have found that NCAM in C116 cells are expressed as 2 qu

β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
The expression of oncogenes in wellβcharacterized 616 melanoma and UVβ2237 fibrosarcoma cell variants that exhibit distinct metastatic properties was explored. The search for the expression of II different oncogenes revealed that the major oncogene in those two tumor systems is the Kirstenβras (kiβras). The results indicate that the amounts of specific kiβras mRNA and the p21 protein are similar in both lowβ and highmetastatic counterparts. These results suggest that in these systems there is no apparent direct correlation between the amount and expression of the major cellular oncogene so far identified and the metastatic potential of these tumor cells.

## Abstract We previously described morphological, functional and antigenic differences between a chemicallyβinduced DBA/2 lymphoma, Eb, and a spontaneous variant, ESb, which arose in 1968 and had highly increased metastatic capacity. Now we present evidence that the two cell lines, in spite of the
The expression of receptors for the Fc portion of IgG immunoglobin molecules was studied on tumor cell lines with high and low metastatic capacity. Two tumor cell lines from DBA/2 mice that had high metastatic activity, ESb and MDAY-D2, contained a high percentage of Fc receptor positive cells, as d
## Abstract Nucleostemin (NS) is implicated in the control of stem and cancer cell proliferation. In the present study, we have examined the expression of NS and its spliced variants in various brain tumors. Total RNA was extracted from 59 brain tumor samples, and the expression of different NS spl
