โœฆ Synopsis

Abstract

A largeโ€band rectangularโ€shaped microstripโ€fed circular slot antenna is studied in this Letter. In this case, many design parameters of this antenna lead to good impedance matching in a wide frequency band. Although the use of a highโ€relativeโ€permittivity (ฮต~r~ = 4.3) substrate usually restricts the operation bandwidth, the measured bandwidth is from 2.277 to 9.272 GHz, which is approximately 124.6 % (VSWR โ‰ค 2.0). The experimented data for the impedance loci and the radiation patterns of the antenna are also described. ยฉ 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract The compact configuration of a microstrip antenna can be realized by embedding suitable slots on the radiating patch. In this paper, a typical configuration of slots is studied by putting group of vertical slots near radiating edge with inset feed and the experimental results are presen
