It is found that charge-transfer of NO, with Cl, is tst at thermal energy. The Cl, ion reacts with NO, to produce Cl-and NOzCI, and SH-charge-transfers rapidly with both Cl, and NOz. From the exothermicitics implied it is deduced that EA (SH)< HA (NOz) < EA (Clz) or EX (Not) = 2.38 + 0.06 eV and EA
