β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Miniaturization and optimization of the solvent delivery system, mixing device, and detection system for gradient elution at few ΞΌl/min is the most important objective of instrumental development in microHPLC using packed capillary columns. Instrumental solutions and evaluation of the performence of a dedicated system for automatic gradient elution with packed capillary columns are reported. Retention time precision shown buy the system results in an RSD of 0.20β0.52% for a PAH model mixture eluted under gradient conditions at few ΞΌl/min. Compositional accuracy of gradient profiles is also demonstrated.

A newly commercialized fluorinated silica, Fluofix 120N [1H71H,2H,2H,3H,3H-tridecafluord4,4-dimethy1hepty1)si1y1 bonded spherical microporous silica gel], was used as a packing material for supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC). The performance and stability of this fluorinated phase were examin
When packed capillary columns are coupled to electrospray mass spectrometry, care must be taken to reduce the dead volumes of the detector connections. In this work, the coupling between the column and the detector was made with a 20-m i.d. fused silica capillary which was inserted in the electrospr
## Abstract A miniaturized amperometric detector compatible with temperatureβprogrammed packed capillary liquid chromatography has been constructed and evaluated. Temperature programming could successfully be used as a tool for retention control, providing gradient action that did not influence the
