High quality epitaxial YBa2Cu307\_8(F) films were grown directly on r-plane (1102) sapphire by a pulsed laser deposition technique using a multiphase fluorinated target. X-ray diffraction data showed that the film is highly c-axis oriented and in-plane aligned. The c-axis and in-plane mosaic spread
We have grown MnSb films on sapphire substrates by hot wall epitaxy. A series of films with thicknesses of 80, 155 and 230 nm was prepared to determine the thickness dependence of their magnetic and magneto-optical properties. Our results indicate that the thinnest and thickest films possess largest
