✦ Synopsis

The electrophoretic patterns of extracted proteins from human head hair were compared to those of proteins from other human hair species (pubic, breast, beard, arm, leg, axillary and eyebrow hair). The respective patterns (keratin phenotypes) were shown to be uniform throughout one individual's hair. Keratin typing could be performed successfully subsequent to ABH blood group determination by mixed cell agglutination with the same hair material.
