✦ Synopsis
The mass spectra of a series of indolosteranes have been obtained in order to investigate whether or not such a method may prove a diagnostic tool in determining structure. While differences are revealed they are sometimes too slight for this purpose.
An interesting observation made here is that in the fragmentation pattern those ions which contain the indole grouping usually predominate.
