✦ Synopsis

The electrodeposition of zinc from alkaline zincate solutions was studied comparing deposits obtained by de plating with those obtained by the application ofa multi-component pulse (mep) current ofthe same effective current density . The experiments were run in four series, varying the current density, the substrate (foil or wire screen)and the end concentration of zinc in the electrolyte . The experimental results are discussed and compared with the observations of other research groups .
