c-axis oriented single crystalline YBazCU3OT. ~ and Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu30~o thin films were patterned for transport measurements to determine the critical current density J~"t'(H,T,0). Film to film variations of J~ were compared for a large number of YBCO samples to assess the dominant influence on the magn

We report detailed transport studies on ferromagnet-superconductor heterostructures. Epitaxial heterostructures of half-metal colossal magnetoresistive La 2/3 Ca 1/3 MnO 3 (HM-CMR) and high-T c superconducting YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7Àd (HTSC) are grown on SrTiO 3 (1 0 0) single crystal substrates using pulse
Off-stoichiometric (Y 1 RE x )Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7Àd (x = 0-0.4, RE = Y or Sm) films have been prepared on LaAlO 3 (1 0 0) single-crystal substrates by a metal-organic deposition using dichloroacetic acid as chelating solution. Coating solutions with excess Sm or Y were prepared by dissolving Y, Sm, Ba an
In order to investigate a surface effect on flux pinning, transport critical currents J¢ of Nb and YBa2Cu3Ov\_z thin films have been measured in magnetic fields B parallel to the surface. It is found that in both fihns the magnitude of Jc changes when tile direction of the Lorentz force is reversed.
