Conductance measurements at 25°C on dilute solutions of hydrochloric acid in n-butanol and iso-butanol containing small amounts of water are r e? or-ted. The data were analysed with a computer programm for the linearized 1965 theoretical Fuoss-Onsager equation. The equivalent conductance at iMnite dilution and the association constant in absolute n-butanol and iso-butanol respectively, have been determined by graphical extrapolation. In agreement with previous experiments in alcohol-water mixtures the limiting equivalent conductance decreases when water is added to the alcohol and then increases again. The equilibrium constant and the standard free energy change for have been determined. On a aussi deter-n&& la constant d%quilibre et la variation de l'dnergie libre standard en relation avec la reaction ROW,+ -i-H,O e ROH + HaOf. Zusammenfassung-Die Leitfghigkeit verdtinnter Liisungen von Salzsaure in n-Butanol und Iso-Butanol mit geringem Wassergehalt wurde bei 25°C gemessen. Die Daten wurden mit Hilfe der linear-is&ten Gleichung von Fuoss-Onsager interpretiert. Dumb graphische Extrapolation ermittelte man die AEquivalentleitfiihigkeit bei unendlicher VerdiinnMg sowie die Assoziationslconstante in absolutem n-Butanol und Iso-butanol. In Ubereinstimmung mit friiheren Ergebnissen ist zuerst eine Ab-Md nachher eine Zunahme der Gmnz%quivalentleitfsihigkeit festzustellen, weM dem Alkohol Wasser Fgegeben wird. Die Gleichgewichtskonstante und die Anderung der freien Energie der Reaktion ROH,+ + H,O e ROH + H.O+ wurden bestimmt .
