โฆ Synopsis
The use of centrifugal force in the study of the structure and development of the animal egg has been extensive. The general result of this work has been to show that the polarity and pattern of organization of a n animal egg are not greatly changed by the displacement of its visible materials. Polarity here would seem t o inhere in some other substance than the displaceable inclusions. Lillie ( '06, '09) thinks that the physical basis of polarity resides in the "ground substance" while Conklin ( '17, '24) considers it to be in the "spongioplasm. " Centri-

## Abstract The aim of the present study was to estimate the in situ cocoon production in grassland of two earthworm species, __Aporrectodea longa__ and __A. rosea__, in relation to application dose of Benomyl. The method used to estimate cocoon production was based on a detailed knowledge of the i
The transport kinetics of salicylic acid have been studied in a Schulman-type in vitro model cell containing two aqueous phases ( A and C ) separated by a third liquid lipid phase (B) simulating the biomembrane. Prime consideration was given to evaluating the effect of increasing the polarity of the
