In this process a complex intermediate forms between the olefin and Br2 evolved and it transforms to dibromo-c-hexane. At higher potential values theelectrochemical oxidation ofthiscomplex results bromoc-hexanol, the formation of which is hindered by oxide layer on the electrode surface.
The electrochemical oxidation of nitrite ion dissolved as sodium nitrite in dimethylsulphoxide on a rotating platinum disk electrode, in the temperature range 2544°C is reported. Main reaction products are NO\*. NO, NiO. and dimethylsulphone. The anodic E/I curve shows a limiting current which is di
