✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, C~23~H~20~Cl~2~N~2~O~4~·1.5H~2~O, the vanillin group makes dihedral angles of 0.52 (14) and 81.22 (7)° with the benzohydrazide residue and the dichlorobenzene ring, respectively. An intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond helps to stabilize the molecular conformation, while intermolecular O—H...O and bifurcated O—H...(N,O) hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming an infinite network. One of the water molecule sites is half-occupied.

In the title compound, C 16 H 16 N 2 O 4 Á0.5CH 3 CH 2 OH, the Schiff base is approximately planar. An intramolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bond stabilizes the molecular structure. The molecules are linked by O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds to form a chain along the b axis.
In the title compound, C 20 H 17 ClN 2 O 4 , the vanillin group makes dihedral angles of 54.50 (10) and 23.85 (15) with the chlorobenzene ring and the furan mean plane, respectively. Packing is stabilized by intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds and weak non-classical intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO hydr
The geometric parameters of the title compound, C 15 H 13 BrN 2 O 3 , are in the usual ranges. The C N double bond is trans configured. The C N-N-CO-group itself is planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.044 A ˚, and makes a dihedral angle of 10.73 (19) with the hydroxyphenyl ring, but forms a dihedr
In the title compound, C 15 H 13 ClN 2 O 3 ÁH 2 O, the molecule adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 15.03 (3) . The structure is stabilized by intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN and intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO and O-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds,
