✦ Synopsis

The molecule of the title compound, C 15 H 12 F 3 NO, is not planar and the dihedral angle between the planes of the two aromatic rings is 33.82 (11) . The molecule exists in the phenol-imine tautomeric form, with a strong intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bond [NÁ Á ÁO = 2.609 (3) A ˚].
