The mononuclear Schiff base compound C 16 H 19 NOSSn or [(CH 3 ) 3 Sn(SC 6 H 4 -4-N C(H)C 6 H 4 -OH-2)] features a slightly distorted C 3 S tetrahedral geometry for Sn. The mean planes of the two benzene rings make a dihedral angle of 41.8 (2) , indicating nonplanarity of the molecule.

The molecule of the title compound, C 15 H 12 F 3 NO, is not planar and the dihedral angle between the planes of the two aromatic rings is 33.82 (11) . The molecule exists in the phenol-imine tautomeric form, with a strong intramolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bond [NÁ Á ÁO = 2.609 (3) A ˚]. ## Related
