Using the laser photolysis/laser-induced fluorescence (LP/LIF) pump-probe technique, the gas-phase photodissociation dynamics of room temperature HNCO was studied at a photolysis wavelength of 248 nm. H atoms produced via HNCO + hv ~ H(2S)+ NCO(X 2H) were detected by vacuum-UV laser-induced fluoresc

Using a sudden transition state theory we find that photodissociation of long-lived resonances of DzH+ leads to the H+ fragment for total angular momentum JC 27 while D+ is formed for J> 30. This quantum result which is critically dependent on the difference of zero-point energies between D2 and HD
