The formation of dimers is reported from the thermal treatment of a series of epoxy fatty acid methyl esters. These compounds were isolated from the reaction mixture by steric exclusion chromatography and were subsequently characterised by their high resolution electron impact and ammonia chemical i

The mass spectra of a series of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids have been recorded as their anthrylmethyl esters using a liquid chromatographic mass spectrometric interface. The spectra show an intense peak for the aromatic nucleus, and a molecular ion. The liquid chromatographichnass spectrom

## Abstract The structures of [Mโ€“H]^โˆ’^ ions generated from free fatty acids in resonant electron capture at energies of 1.2 and 7.2 eV were investigated using deuteriumโ€labeled isotopomers and collisionโ€induced dissociation. The [Mโ€“H]^โˆ’ยท^ ions occur in both a carboxylate anion and a carbanion form.
