✦ Synopsis
The title compound, disodium bis(2-aminopyridinium) hexa-μ~3~-hydroxidohexa-μ~2~-oxidododecaoxidohexamolybdonickel;ate(II) dihydrate, Na~2~(C~5~H~7~N~2~)~2~[H~6~NiMo~6~O~24~]·2H~2~O, features β-type Anderson heteropolyoxometalate anions (Ni site symmetry \overline{1}). These anions are connected to 2-aminopyridinium cations and water molecules via N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network.
