โฆ Synopsis
The reactions of Li[C 5 H 4 (CH 2 ) 2 P(CH 3 ) 2 ] (1) with La(CF 3 SO 3 ) 3
BrY[C 5 H 4 (CH 2 ) 2 P(CH 3 ) 2 ] 2 (3). Both complexes 2 and 3 have been characterized by X-ray structure analysis. In both cases and Y(CF 3 SO 3 ) 3 are described. Three equivalents of 1 reacted with La(CF 3 SO 3 ) 3 under formation of La[C 5 H 4 -an intramolecular coordination of the phosphanoethyl chain is established in the solid state by X-ray crystallography as (CH 2 ) 2 P(CH 3 ) 2 ] 3 (2). Two equivalents of 1 with one equivalent of Y(CF 3 SO 3 ) 3 in the presence of LiBr yielded well as in solution by NMR spectroscopy.

Saccharinate complexes of the fourteen trivalent lanthanide cations and Y III were prepared by reaction between the respective lanthanide carbonates and saccharin in aqueous solution. Their crystal structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffractometry. They represent three different stru
