✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, [Ni(C 6 H 16 N 2 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ]Cl 2 , the Ni II cation (site symmetry 1) is coordinated by two N,N-bidentate ligands and two water molecules, resulting in a slightly distorted trans-NiO 2 N 4 octahedron. The complex cations and chloride anions are linked by N-HÁ Á ÁCl and O-HÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds into a chain.
