✦ Synopsis
The title complex, [Mn(C 5 H 3 N 6 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ], possesses a crystallographically imposed center of symmetry occupied by an Mn II ion, which is coordinated by four N atoms from two 5-(pyrimidin-2-yl)tetrazolate ligands [Mn-N = 2.2066 (13) and 2.2731 (15) A ˚] and two water molecules [Mn-O = 2.1868 (14) A ˚] in a distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bonds link the complexes into two-dimensional sheets parallel to the bc plane.
