✦ Synopsis

The title complex, [Cd(C 5 H 3 N 6 ) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ], possesses a crystallographically imposed inversion centre. The Cd II atom is coordinated by four N atoms [Cd-N = 2.2794 (16) and 2.4155 (16) A ˚] from two 5-(pyrazin-2-yl)tetrazolate ligands and two water molecules [Cd-O = 2.263 (2) A ˚] in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal packing is governed by intermolecular O-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bonds.
