✦ Synopsis

In the title centrosymmetric dimeric complex, [V 2 (C 12 H 13 -N 3 O 3 ) 2 (CH 3 O) 2 O 2 ], each V V atom is six-coordinated by one oxo O atom, two N atoms and one O atom of the tridentate hydrazone ligand and two O atoms of two methoxo groups, leading to a distorted octahedral environment. Two V V atoms are bridged by methoxo groups, resulting in a dimer, with a VÁ Á ÁV separation of 3.324 (3) A ˚.

The V V atom in the title complex, [V(C 16 H 12 C 12 N 2 O 4 )-(C 13 H 10 NO 2 )O], is coordinated by two O atoms and one N atom of the tridentate hydrazone ligand, and by two O atoms of the bidentate hydroxamate co-ligand, thus de®ning a distorted octahedral VO(ONO)(ON) geometry.
