✦ Synopsis
In the centrosymmetric dinuclear title complex, [RuCl 2 ( 6 -C 6 H 6 )] 2 Á2CHCl 3 or [Ru 2 Cl 4 (C 6 H 6 ) 2 ]Á2CHCl 3 , accessible from RuCl 3 .nH 2 O and 1,3-cyclohexadiene, the benzene ligands are involved in slipped-parallelstacking interactions with neighbouring molecules, thus forming one-dimensional polymeric chains.

The title dinuclear complex, [Ru 2 (C 10 H 14 )Cl 4 H], has twofold symmetry. The terminal Cl atom interacts with three CÐH H atoms of symmetry-related neighbouring molecules. These interactions play a key role in the packing arrangement.
