✦ Synopsis

The title compound, [Zr~2~Cl~8~(C~6~H~6~ClN)~2~], is centrosymmetric. Each Zr^IV^ ion has distorted octahedral coordination geometry, formed by one N atom from a 4-chloroaniline ligand, three terminal Cl^−^ ions and two bridging Cl^−^ ions. The Zr—μ-Cl bond distances are much longer than the other Zr—Cl bond distances.
