โฆ Synopsis
GLC and spectrophotometric methods for the determination of tolmetin in plasma were developed. The methods can detect tolmetin in concentrations above 0.5 pg/ml. The plasma levels obtained with a 600-mg dose of tolmetin to a human subject are reported.

A GLC method for phenylbutazone at concentrations down to 10 ng/ml in human plasma is described. After addition of an internal standard, phenylbutazone is extracted at pH 5 into benzene. The dry extract is dissolved in benzene, and phenylbutazone is determined by GLC using a 63Ni-electron-capture de
