✦ Synopsis
The standard molar Gibbs free energies of formation of Co 2 SiO 4 and Ni 2 SiO 4 have been determined by solid-state galvanic cells in the temperature range 823 K to 1273 K. Calcium fluoride-based composite containing SiO 2 (mole fraction x = 0.05) was applied as a solid electrolyte. The results were compared with those obtained by other authors.
