Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons ( \(\mathrm{PAHs}\) ) in oyster tissues were isolated by saponification with aqueous potassium hydroxide and hexane partitioning. Extracts were purified by adsorption chromatography using silicic acid and alumina oxide followed by gel chromatography with either Sepha
