Allantoin is quantitatively determined in biological fluids by reversed-phase high-pressure liquid chromatography. The proteins of blood plasma are precipitated by perchloric acid. Urine can be analyzed directly. The reproducibility was over 99%. The average recovery of added allantoin in blood was
