✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A 5‐bit time delay module with left‐handed and right‐handed transmission line is designed and fabricated, which can realize a minimum time delay of 100 ps and a maximum time delay of 3100 ps in 9–10 GHz frequency range. Compared with traditional transmission line time delay module, the present 5‐bit left‐handed transmission line time delay module has shown its compactness and low losses. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this letter, a novel zero‐order‐resonant composite right/left‐handed transmission line (CRLH‐TL) is investigated and its equivalent circuit is proposed. Both the numerical simulations and the theoretical analysis show that the zero‐order resonant frequency occurs at 1.42 GHz, due to
## Abstract In this work, microstrip lines loaded with complementary split rings resonators (CSRRs) and series capacitive gaps are modeled by means of a lumped element equivalent circuit. The structures exhibit a left‐handed (or backward wave) behavior at low frequencies, followed by forward transm
## Abstract The present paper proposes a novel design of a Wilkinson power splitter, which utilizes the nonlinear dispersion characteristic of a left‐handed transmission line (LHTL). The proposed device has been fabricated using the lumped L‐C −λ/4 LHTLs instead of the conventional TLs to implement
