✦ Synopsis

The seeds of Mallotzts philippznensis (LAM.) MUELL.-ARG. were found to contain 4 cardenolides (A, B, C and D) after fermentation. Two new glycosides, C and D, were obtained in crystalline form and were shown to be corotoxigenin-rhamnoside and coroglaucigenin-rhamnoside respectively. The minor constituents A and I3 were identified as corotoxigenin and coroglaucigenin after paper chromatography.
