✦ Synopsis
Loose 1.1 3.4 Low 0.54 0.27 Medium 0.45 0.13 Large 0.38 0.018 sures, we observed that the device became nonreciprocal to power transmission; typical results are shown in Table 1. The power measured from detector D was down by more 22 dB from its value with loose status, but the power from detector C was only down to about 5 dB. The experimental result agreed with the above theoretical analysis.
4. Conclusions
The nonreciprocal power transmission in an all-fiber nonreciprocal component made of a mechanical mode converter and an asymmetric fiber has been demonstrated experimentally. Such an all-fiber nonreciprocal device has a simpler structure, and allows easier integration. The device will find use in optical fiber communication systems and optical sensors.
