Abstract

The influence of the ridge position on the cutoff wavelength of the dominant mode in a single‐ridge waveguide is analyzed by the finite‐element method. The cutoff wavelength can be adjusted by changing the ridge dimensions as well as by adjusting its position. More design data are presented. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this paper, the field patterns of the TE modes in antipodal ridge waveguide (ARW) and double antipodal ridge waveguide (DARW) are presented by finite element method. The figures in this paper are useful in the design of antipodal waveguide components for wideband microwave transmissi
