✦ Synopsis
The germanate KF-2[Ca6(S04) (Ge04)20] was synthesized by solid state reactions; comparison of the observed and calculated powder pattern, assuming an isostructural relationship with the silicate phase, gives good agreement.
Sulphate groups may also be substituted by Cr042to give the isostructural KF.2[Ca6(Cr04)(SiO~)20].
