Two novel chlorobismuthate(III) complexes [8-hydroxyquinolinium] 2) have been synthesized in solution and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure of 1 contains 1-D inorganic zigzag chains formed by BiCl 6 octahedra and KCl 4 O 3 decahedra with organic 8-hydroxyquinolinium ca
