✦ Synopsis
A shorted patch fed by a coplanar wa¨eguide is de¨eloped and compared to the existing feed type. Its characteristics are presented in terms of impedance matching, frequency bandwidth, as well as radiation pattern. Simulations and experimental results are exposed, and allow us to ¨alidate this feed, which facilitates the acti¨e component insertion. As an example of the association of acti¨e de¨ices, the patch is loaded by a ¨aractor diode, making the antenna frequency agile.

## Abstract By embedding two folded narrow slots into a rectangular patch, a shorted monopole fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) structure is obtained and can achieve broadband impedance matching for wireless application. Prototype of the obtained design has been constructed and experimentally studi
## Abstract In this paper we present a small dual‐frequency printed antenna based on a square shorted‐patch configuration with an embedded slot to generate the second resonant frequency. The antenna resonance is at 1.58 and 2.6 GHz with 10‐dB return‐loss bandwidths of 1.3% and 3.3% for the lower an
## Abstract This article presents a compact shorted patch antenna. The antenna is based on an F‐shaped printed conductor coaxially fed with an electromagnetically coupled shorted inverted F‐shaped antenna interleaved with each other. The overall antenna is then coupled with a rectangular ring. The
## Abstract A dual‐frequency shorted patch antenna for WLAN applications is proposed. The dual‐frequency operation is achieved by inserting an additional shorting pin to a slotted planar inverted‐F antenna. The lower and upper operating frequencies of the proposed dual‐frequency antenna are related
