Adjusting the slot width in a slot antenna can determine the operating frequency bandwidth. In order to obtain a wider radiation beamwidth, a narrower slot width is needed. This paper uses a CPW tuning stub in the CPW-fed slot antenna to achieยจe this goal. แฎ 1998

โฆ Synopsis
A CPW-fed bow-tie slot antenna is presented. Experimental results show that the widest bandwidth can be adjusted by the slot width when the extended angle is zero, while the far field is in the broadside direction and the cross polarization is kept at a low leยจel. The ( ) bow-tie slot antenna can obtain at least 36% bandwidth VSWR -2 with a 20ะ extended angle. A smaller slot width needs a larger extended angle to reach the widest bandwidth; meanwhile, the far field has a wider 3 dB beamwidth in the H-plane than that using a larger slot width.

In this letter, a new design for a planar antenna is introduced. The antenna is built using coplanar technology. It has dual-frequency operation: the first and second resonances are in the Xand Ku-bands, respectiยจely. The proposed antenna has wideband be-haยจior around both resonance frequencies. It
A rigorous method of moments solutions for a stripline-fed cylindrical slot antenna is presented. The effects of the feeding parameters on the input impedance and far-field pattern are discussed. It is found that a cylindrical slot antenna can be matched to a 50-โ stripline by displacing the slot fr
The effect of dielectric loading in EC-SCPW on forwardcoupler characteristics has been studied. The dielectric loading increases the coupling coefficient and the frequency bandwidth, thus finding application in the propagation of narrow pulses. The size of the device can also be reduced considerably
