โœฆ Synopsis

A rigorous method of moments solutions for a stripline-fed cylindrical slot antenna is presented. The effects of the feeding parameters on the input impedance and far-field pattern are discussed. It is found that a cylindrical slot antenna can be matched to a 50-โ€ stripline by displacing the slot from the axis of the feedline.

A CPW-fed bow-tie slot antenna is presented. Experimental results show that the widest bandwidth can be adjusted by the slot width when the extended angle is zero, while the far field is in the broadside direction and the cross polarization is kept at a low leยจel. Adjusting the slot width in a slot antenna can determine the operating frequency bandwidth. In order to obtain a wider radiation beamwidth, a narrower slot width is needed. This paper uses a CPW tuning stub in the CPW-fed slot antenna to achieยจe this goal. แฎŠ 1998
