Abstract

An investigation about the kinetic of the curing process of an epoxy resin and its mechanical characterization has been performed. An assessment about the existence of the β€œspecific microwave effect” has been carried out and the possible improvement of the microwave absorption of the epoxy resins by the addition of a suscepting material has been studied. ## Abstract The curing process of epoxy prepreg was studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry analysis. The dynamic, isothermal, and combinations of dynamic and isothermal measurements were done over selected temperature ranges and isothermal cure temperatures. The heats of reaction for
